Gene doping came onto the world’s agenda back in 2001, when one scientist told a committee in WADA that he was being contacted by athletes wanting to enroll in gene transfer clinical trials. Prof Miah wrote the first book to be published on ‘gene doping’ and here, we recap what’s happend in the last decade and what this means for sport. Here’s a clip that many scientist show to demonstrate the effect of gene doping in mouse models.
